Maximizing Authentic Peer Relationships
Strong peer relationships don’t happen by accident—they emerge from understanding the patterns that exist in the space between people. In this interactive workshop, participants will use two emotional-intelligence mapping tools to examine their most enjoyable and most stressful relationships across work, family, and friendships, identifying the traits, needs, and behaviors that shape those dynamics. By analyzing both positive and negative relational data, attendees will uncover their personal connection style and recognize how it shows up in workplace peer relationships. The session then translates these insights into practical strategies for strengthening collaboration, reducing relational friction, and responding more intentionally to the needs and motivations of colleagues. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how their relational habits influence team culture—and concrete actions they can take to build healthier, more authentic peer connections.
Maximizing Your Community Profile
How do organizations dramatically raise their visibility without dramatically increasing their marketing budgets? In this session, Courtney Stevens shares how one public organization grew event participation from 40,000 to more than 190,000 and increased annual visits from 100,000 to 400,000 in just four years by focusing on reputation rather than reach. Participants will explore practical strategies such as clarifying and internally “selling” a mission-driven WHY, using community data and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to identify high-visibility projects, and creating personal testimony that spreads through word-of-mouth. The session will also highlight how investing in employee well-being, leadership development, and strategic partnerships can turn staff into ambassadors for your mission. Attendees will leave with a framework for aligning mission, community needs, and organizational culture to create the kind of authentic impact that communities naturally talk about.
Getting the Right People on the Bus: Using Emotional Intelligence to Increase Team Productivity
Great teams are built when leaders understand not just what people do—but how they think, react, and collaborate. In this workshop, participants will use four powerful diagnostic questions to analyze team dynamics: how individuals respond to authority, their history with teamwork, the story they tell themselves about failure, and how they measure success. Through this emotional-intelligence framework, leaders learn to identify patterns that lead to synergy, drama, liability, or effective load distribution within teams. The session demonstrates how these insights can be used to build stronger teams, transition struggling employees into healthier roles, and position the right people where they can thrive. Participants leave with a practical tool for predicting, influencing, and improving team productivity through a deeper understanding of human behavior.
More Joy at Work
What if more joy at work isn’t about doing less—but about doing things differently? This session explores practical micro and macro shifts that help employees move from frustration to meaningful engagement through time analysis, better role positioning, and small behavioral changes. Participants will also examine how the way we talk about work—positively or negatively—affects brain chemistry and team culture. When negativity creeps in, this session offers four practical strategies to reset perspective and rebuild a healthier relationship with work.
